Flow of Participation in Clinical Trials

STEP1

Search for Clinical Trials

Check out upcoming clinical trials to see if there are any with convenient dates that you are interested in.
STEP2

Apply

Once you find a clinical trial that you would like to participate in, you can apply for it through our website.
STEP3

Medical Consultation & Appointment Reservation

You will be contacted by phone or email within 2-3 business days of your application. Please answer all medical and health related questions, and make an appointment for a medical check-up if asked to do so.
STEP4

Receive a Free Medical Check-Up

The medical check-up will confirm if you meet the criteria for participation in the clinical trial. The hospital will contact you regarding the results.
STEP5

Participate in the Clinical Trial

Finally the clinical trial starts! Selected volunteers participate in the clinical trial, following the hospital's instructions.

How Time is Spent During the Clinical Trial

The timing of study drug administration and the schedule for drawing blood and other tests varies for each clinical trial. Please follow the instructions from the hospital regarding how you spend your time during the study.
However, there is often a lot of free time! During these periods, you can spend it doing whatever activities you like, such as playing computer games, playing video games, or reading comic books, as long as they do not interfere with the clinical trial. The hospital is also equipped with Wi-fi, so you can use the internet as much as you like during this time.

Meals Provided During Your Stay

All meals during participation will be provided by the hospital. Though some might imagine hospital food to be tasteless and unappealing, the clinical trial provides delicious meals and boxed lunches that many people commonly eat here in Japan.
STEP6

Complete the Clinical Trial and Receive the Cooperation Fee

The clinical trial ends when all required dates of participation have been completed. The cooperation fee will be paid in cash by hand, or via bank wire transfer.
